The player scored two goals in eight games of her own and helped the magicJack to the league's highest third place finish that year. The team folded in the latter part of 2011. magicJack folded and in early 2012, so did WPS. Rapinoe first began playing in the Australian W-League with Sydney Football Club FC before moving back into her home in the United States. Next, she played with Seattle Washington Sounders Women. Seattle Washington Sounders Women (now the Sound FC). The Sound FC was located currently in France for this season. She was then a part of in the Seattle Reign FC now OL Reign of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL which had formed after the WPS broke up. The second Olympics which took place at Rio de Janeiro Brazil, 2016. The year of Rio Brazil, the U.S. team was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Rapinoe first participated in this tournament in the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011. Her contribution to the tournament contributed to in helping the U.S. team win consecutive Women's World Cup championships in the years 2015 and 2019. In 2018, she was named cocaptain. Rapinoe was awarded two bronze medals during her part in the United States' 4-3 win against Australia in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Japan has been postponed until 2021 by the COVID-19 epidemic.
